Housing Intake Specialist

(Split Shift - 5pm-9pm & 5am-9am)

 

The Samaritan House is in need of Housing Intake Specialists. Full Time, Tuesday through Saturday split shift from 5pm-9pm and 5am-9am, and Part-Time, to work Sunday through Monday, Holidays and covering vacations; split shift from 5pm-9pm and 5am-9am.

 

 The Intake Specialist is responsible for providing non-therapeutic support to individuals who are staying in the house and assist with program operations including housekeeping, food service, after hour’s phone coverage, and monitoring the facility for safety and security.

 

High School Diploma or GED required. Two years experience working in a lodging facility preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner. Computer literacy (MS Word, internet, e-mail) a must. Demonstrated skill in working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and the ability to understand homelessness and how it affects the client population is also required. Drug test and background test will be pre-employment requirement.
