Adopt-A-Family

Each year, Friends in Service Helping’s Christmas Adopt-a-Family program coordinates the giving of new clothes, toys, food and other items to low-income families.  Over the years, the program has allowed an opportunity for many selfless and compassionate people in the community to share in the holiday spirit by adopting - single parent families, low-income families with children, or seniors on fixed incomes.  Without the support of so many and the tireless energy of so many volunteers, many residents in our community would experience much less happiness during the holiday season.

Registration of eligible low-income families and seniors for F.I.S.H.’s Christmas Adopt-a-Family program application was accepted October 13th through November 13th.

Thank you for making the holidays special for Elko County residents!

Due to the generosity of many in Elko County all of the 192 people that hoped to be adopted have been as of today.
